Outfit Ideas and Inspiration
Yes, keeping outfit inspo in your camera roll is really a thing; well at least for us it is. It’s not just enough to scroll through your favorite influencers and social platforms for outfit ideas, you need to have your very own outfit inspo library. Having your own go-to outfit idea library will help you when you’re stuck on what to wear. Because you know your phone is never too far away.
We have a few tips for you when it comes to picking outfits for your personal outfit library. Here are five things I always consider when it comes to adding an outfit to my inspiration library.
1.
Pick outfits with items you already have in your closet.
By choosing outfits with pieces you already own, you can begin to learn how to shop your closet. While also learning how to restyle what you have to make the most out of all your purchases.

2.
Try to find outfits that get you out of your fashion comfort zone.
I’m not suggesting you redefine your style or pick outfits you’d never wear. I’m simply suggesting if you’re looking for outfit inspo, to challenge yourself to try something a little different. Try a new style of shoe or tuck your shirt differently, or consider new ways to layer. I’ve found when I’m trying an outfit a little outside my comfort zone, I try to make sure the outfit consists of an item I love, like your favorite shoes or jeans or outerwear piece. This always seems to make stepping out of my style comfort zone less scary.

Before you invest in a trend piece (or any new items)…
When considering stepping out in new trend, ask yourself how many different ways can I wear this trend, and does it work with my current wardrobe? These are important question to ask yourself. Because having a trendy closet of items you wear once, maybe twice, is a waste of money. Not to mention, bad for the environment and will surely leave you feeling like you have nothing to wear while staring at a closet full of clothes. So make sure, like any good decision, you’ve done a little research and have a stylish plan for any new trend you want to try.

Find fashion influencers with a similar figure/body shape.
Let’s be real, so many of the top fashion influencers are not “the girl next door” as we’d all like to think. They have begun to look more like models and celebrities; well they kinda are. One of the reasons I suggest finding someone with a similar shape and/or height is to give you ideas and objectivity on how women with a similar shape wear and style the clothing they choose.
Anyone who is tall and thin will make anything look good. The last thing you want to do is compare yourself and become defeated in your fashion endeavors. The idea is to be inspired. To be honest, anyone can wear any style. It’s all about attitude and confidence. And we all know a great outfit can give us both.

Be true to your style
When it comes to your style, you know it best. Be true to you. If you love something, wear it. Don’t worry yourself with what other people think about your outfit. The most important person that needs to love it is you. Keeping a camera roll of outfit inspiration is simply a way to discover a new idea and spark a creative way to look at the clothes in your closet.
May your closet be filled with items you love and want to wear all the time.
