Tips + Tricks to False Eyelashes
False eyelashes are a must when you’re headed out and you want to make your eyes pop. They always sound like a great idea, until you’re ready to put them on and you just can’t get them quite right. It seems so simple, yet it somehow takes way longer than necessary. And then you’re looking at yourself thinking, “does this look right?” Get excited because those days are over. Make-up Artist Lauren Hendrix from Salty Blonde Cut Co Salon, is about to make getting ready a lot easier as she shows us how-to apply false eyelashes like a pro, and keep them on!
To start, measure + adjust eyelashes BEFORE glue is applied.
Place a drop of eyelash glue (adhesive) to the edge of the eyelash container for easy application.
With the back of your tweezers dab glue, and apply to false eyelash strip evenly. PRO TIP: Don’t put too much glue on strip, and make sure it’s even.
For a better stick and an easier application, blow on glue so it will dry a bit. This will make it easier to apply the strip as it will be more sticky and less slippery.
Now it’s time to apply and adjust the lashes with glue
Make sure to press on the strip for the best “stick.” Also, make sure the ends of the strip are secure.
Repeat on the other eye!
Apply your favorite mascara.
