What we Wear
with Editor Natalie Dickens
Being both petite and curvy can be a bit of a challenge when one does not know the best silhouettes for one’s frame-I know this all too well. So with my hourglass figure I look for silhouettes that highlight my waist. As much I’d love to wear a shift dress or lots of flowy layers I know that it doesn’t really work on my body type. That’s why I love a pencil skirt. It hugs my curves and gives me the waist line I need to highlight my figure.
Merging appropriate professional attire with my love of current fashion trends started as a challenge but now I’ve got it down, with a little practice and clear understanding of your body type you too can master this merge. Sometimes it’s really just the simple things like a fun shoe that is both work appropriate and fashionable.
BTW I got totally inspired by the “Next Level” Cat Eye post and I tried the smudgy cat eye. Check out my simple how-to.
