Why this works in the OC: Go back to the grind in style! To me, style is all in the details. It’s the subtle details in your outfit that set your personal style apart. Style doesn’t have to be complicated. The trick is finding a look you like and elaborating on it to give the look your personal touch. Damsel in Dior does a great job of adding in little details to this classic, nautical style to give her own spin. The printed navy bandana is a substitute for a statement necklace. I love the way she incorporated stripes in the clutch that go, but do not match. The subtle hue difference in the clutch and the shoe give this look an effortlessness, you know I love.
I love the idea of the items in your outfit “going together” but not matching each other. This is what makes a look care free while still being “pulled together”.
