Yes, it’s a Major Thing & a New Fashion Category
The fashion industry takes note on the trends consumers can’t get enough of. This is where the business of fashion, creativity, and fashion consumers intertwine. Fashion heavy hitters realized that women can’t get out of their sweats and workout clothes. So, of course a new category was created, athleisure. Athleisure is the combination of workout clothes and lounge wear. Let’s face it, women have decided that comfort can be stylish and trendsetting.
This is the perfect example of how regular women and fashion stars alike have had a major style impact on the industry. Now we can find athleisure just about everywhere, at any price point. Major labels, fast fashion chains, and indie brands have all embraced our love for comfort. And of course we love that so many of our local boutiques have great athlesiure pieces we love.
