Should you Risk It?
When it comes to your personal style, who are you? Are you the girl who plays it safe? Or are you the girl taking the fashion risk? Me… I’d like to think that I’m somewhere in between. My personal style is classic and simple but always mixed with a little trend; whether its a hot denim style or the must have print of the season. Although, I will admit, I’ve gotten it in my head that bold, stand out items and/or outfits are meant for events or special occasions and such. But then I think about the style Icon we can all agree on, Carrie Bradshaw. And how almost everyday, every outfit, no matter what the occasion, she took a fashion risk. And, for the most part, it totally worked for her!
Now I know we’re not all Carrie Bradshaw (if only); But we can certainly take a note out of her book. Don’t be afraid to take a risk in fashion. It might not always work out, but it might also be the next outfit everyone wants to copy.. you never know!
Scroll through these 5 outfits to inspire you to take a risk; wherever you might fall on the play it safe to major risk spectrum.
Simple style does not have to mean boring! With little details like a ruffle sleeve, an open back, a lace up pant, or all three, you can easily up level the simplest of outfits. It really is all in the details!

Mixing Prints
Trying your styling hand at mixing prints is a great way to take the next step to an elevated fashion risk. Start simple with mixing prints like stripes with polka dots. And as you get more comfortable, graduate to more bold, unexpected matches.
White leather, leopard print, colorful stripes… Oh my!
If you were just reading that without any visual you’d probably get some “yeahhhh, I’m not so sure about that” look, or worse, on your face. But sometimes the things you least expect to look good together, look great together. Case and point!
