Tips and Tricks on Rocking Over the Knee Boots

I’m obsessed with over the knee boots but lets be real, the weather conditions in Souther California have not been conducive to my current obsession. So… The temperature has dropped from 100° at the beach to 80° and I’ve been looking for ways to rock these amazing boots despite our very sunny, and down right hot, fall season.

I’ve found more than a few looks I love and I can’t wait to wear. Oh BTW, ask me if I’ve even invested in a pair of over the knee boots-No! It’s been too hot. Oh how my style fantasies don’t always go with my real life.

Anyways…. Here a few looks I love plus a few tips on how to rock over the knee boots now and later.

Texture texture and more texture….

I’m a sucker for great texture. There is something about texture that always feels so stylish. Texture is always a great way to mix up the seasons for a transitional feel. In Southern California we need transitional clothing as our climate is mild.

The first set of looks are great examples of transitional looks that make us feel like we’re finally rocking some fall fashion. Mixing and matching light weight fabrics and heavier fabrics is a great way to get a fall look without being too hot. Long vests and leather shorts are great additions to invest in, as they can be worn all year round.

I’m loving the pairing of a chic work dress with a cognoc leather, over the knee boot. This is a great way to re-style and change up a simple dress.

Stripes Please

One of the things I love about over the knee boots is they instantly add a sexy vibe to any look. Beware and don’t over do the “sexy” factor when rocking these bad boys. Most of us are going for cool street style, not street walker.

Adding over the knee boots to the next two looks make simple stripes sexy.

Ok, so it’s not cool enough for the next few looks but still a girl can dream. A quick tip on rocking these boots with your jeans-Don’t be afraid to change it up and try something new. Mix coated denim with suede, light jeans with dark boots, and change out your sneakers for my current obsession.
