How to Transform your Scarf

The Transformation

with Mad Maven + Knighbury

Scarves are the most versatile accessory a woman can own.

WRAP

One of easiest ways to transform your scarf is to wear your scarf as a wrap. This is the an easy, effortless layer perfect for cool summer nights. This style doesn’t really need much instruction, just throw it over your shoulders and you’re ready to go.

Headband Top Knot

I love the idea of hair accessories. Making a top-knot/headband with your scarf is easier than you think. Plus, it makes a major style statement.

  1. Fold your scarf until it’s the desired width you’d like in your hair.
  2.  Start at the back of your head, with your hands on both sides of the scarf. Make sure the scarf is equal distance on both sides.
  3.  Bring the scarf to the front of your head, combining both ends, and twist. Keep twisting the two pieces together until you get to the end.
  4.  The twisted pieces will naturally make a top-knot as you twist into a bun. Tuck the ends into the scarf.
  5. For extra hold, if needed, use bobby pins to secure the sides behind the ears.

Don’t forget, another great use for your scarf is as an accessory on your handbag.
