Designer Spotlight | Saltwater Luxe

The two of us have worked for over 10 years for a few of the most established surf brands in Southern California. We had attended college together and reconnected while working together at a couple of different fashion and surf companies over the years. We have always worked well together and have very similar personal style, so the idea of eventually starting our own clothing line was always the topic of conversation. We finally decided that it was the right time in both of our careers to truly express our creativity and launch a unique and versatile beach clothing line. Saltwater Luxe finally came to life in October 2015.

What is the inspiration behind your designs?/What inspired your most recent collection?

Saltwater Luxe is excited to show the new Fall/Winter 2016 product during LA Fashion Week. Clashing beachwear and luxury, the SWL babe will pull off this season’s looks effortlessly. The collection guarantees to maintain the brand aesthetic with novelty fabrications, elevated design detail and hand-sewn embellishments. With an emphasis on versatile color and print combinations, the collection was designed to carry from daytime into nightlife and will be the perfect addition to any wardrobe. Print mixing and moody hues meet unexpected embellishments giving way to many of this season’s absolute must-haves. Our undeniably sexy, radiant, beach babe will find herself layering textures and being drawn to feminine silhouettes with a hint of luxe. The Saltwater Luxe brand will continue to offer feel good, feminine pieces to women everywhere, and encourage them to rock the beachy luxe look all year round.

We wanted to create a more contemporary line while staying true to our beachy roots. Saltwater represents the easy, beachy vibe while luxe represents elevated fabrics and design details.

Our style is reflected in the clothing we design. We believe that clothes should be not only feminine but effortless at the same time. Our personal style can be described as ‘throw on and go’ and we love to accessorize our favorite easy-to-wear pieces.

We know that the possibilities are endless for Saltwater Luxe. Our casual beach line can be expanded in so many ways from swimwear to accessories to cold weather wear, but at the moment we are excited about building on what we have started for Saltwater Luxe. Each season gets better and better and we can hardly wait to share!
