Closet Must Have that’s not just for the Office

It’s Time to Talk about Blazers

 Suiting Trend

How to Look like you’re “kinda” into the Suiting Trend

Suiting is all the rage this season. And unless you’re a hard core fashion lover or going for a “pic-op” for your blog, most L.A, O.C. and San Diego gals aren’t going to be rocking full suiting to go on a coffee date or pick their kids up from school. Unless of course you just got off work at your law office, or you’re committed to going all in like our Style Crush Angela Fink..

The reason I mention this is because this is a great example of how deconstruct a “trend” and work it for you and your lifestyle. Everyone should have a blazer in their wardrobe, if not GET ONE. Blazers are classic, and even if your style is more boho or relaxed you’re still going to need a blazer from time to time.

Ok so back to the suiting trend….. Are you still wondering what I meant about deconstructing a trend? Not to worry, I’m going to break it down for you. It’s really simple, take one thing you like about a trend and make it work for you. I love the idea of the suiting trend but I know I’m not going to wear a suit anywhere. So, the next best thing is to dust off my blazer and start incorporating it into my looks when I’m feeling in the mood to embrace the suiting trend.

We picked some of our favorite “kinda care about suiting” looks to give you examples of how to rework some of the items you SHOULD already have in your closet, like a blazer. As you’ll notice you can’t go wrong with a blazer (kinda suiting), a tee + jeans (my uniform) and great shoes. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, being aware of trends is always a good idea. But falling victim to trends is never a good idea.
