The Soul Project X Hilary Shepard
It was only a few weeks ago that one of our favorite boutiques in Laguna, The Soul Project, celebrated the launch of their new perfume, Soul Sister Magic Love Oil. Complete with sweet treats, cocktails, fairy wand making, angel card readings, and of course their new perfume, the event was nothing short of a success. I had such a fun time attending the event with my friend, and Love Sweat Fitness trainer that kicks our ass on a regular basis, Katie Dunlop. After a sangria at Rooftop, we were headed over to The Soul Project to help support their new fragrance. I always enjoy seeing the babes at The Soul Project, and I must say their perfume smells AMAZING.
Soul Sister Magic Love Oil will not only make you “feel like an exotic garden that attracts men like bees to honey,” but when you purchase this perfume you are helping to support a great cause, the Elisabeth R. Woods Foundation. This comes as no surprise as The Soul Project is all about giving back. They believe in the power of a dollar and that put to good use, a dollar makes a real difference. When shopping, you can feel great knowing that $1 from every SOUL Project item that you buy flows to to local kids and environmental charities based on where your item was purchased.
HOW DID SOUL SISTER MAGIC LOVE OIL GET STARTED?
Soul Sisters Magic Love Oil No.1 is a Luscious blend of Gardenia, Tuberose and Orange Blossom, Made in California with all pure essential oils. In burst of creative genius, actress Hilary Shepard created a beguiling secret scent that she gifted to some of her best friends, including actresses Daryl Hannah, Rosannah Arquette and Courtney Cox.
When Hilary was diagnosed with breast cancer and going through her treatments, she decided to start gifting it to other cancer patients to make them feel sexy and vibrant. But it was her sister Kathy Simon, facing her own fight against lung cancer, who was her biggest fan.
As Hilary’s scent was reaching cult status, she lost both her beloved sister and her father, also to cancer, within a 6-month period of time. Recognizing how her secret fragrance had such an impact on the people around her, Hilary took the step of teaming up with The Soul Project in Laguna Beach, CA, and Soul Sisters was born.
And to honor her sister’s legacy, a percentage of each bottle sold will go to the Elisabeth R. Woods Foundation in memory of her Soul Sister, Kathy Simon.
