Kristen Lewis, Owner of The Garage Collective, Shows Us
Everyday Style to Steal
We love showcasing all thing local, indie and beyond stylish. From our favorite local fashion picks to “how-to’s” from the world of beauty, and of course the shops that make a house a home. But we also want you to meet the women behind it all. We had the pleasure of getting another one of our favorite stylish women in front of the camera. One of our favorite behind the scene babes, hot mama and business owner is Kristen Lewis, owner of The Garage Collective. And she’s giving us go-to everyday outfit ideas she can’t get enough of.
Kristen’s style philosophy is, invest in good accessories (designer if you can) and wear clothing that fits your real, real life. Jumpsuits, matching sets, vintage finds, and the jeans + tee combo paired with her trademark black chuck high tops are her go-to outfits. Clothing should always be an extension of you, your mood and where you’re going. Try something new; a flirty dress with sneakers, a one piece swimsuit as a body suit or a bold color. Check out 5 effortless everyday outfit ideas any SoCal babe can copy.

“Just like home decorating, fashion is an art and a type of self expression. I love being creative with my outfits and trying new things. However, since I have two boys I have to be aware that my clothes will get dirty or possibly destroyed.”
“I like to make style trends my own. I’m always a sucker for a designer pair of shoes, purse or belt; but I mix it with more casual looks like jeans, a vintage piece or sneakers.”

“With a traveling husband, two jobs, and two kiddos, matching sets are my go-to. One and done! It makes getting dressed so easy.”
