Why We’re All Loving This Stylish & Comfortable Shoe Trend

This season’s hottest shoe trend works on women from 18 to 80, block heels are perfect for everyone. Whether you like a kitten heel or a high heel, there is a block heel shoe for you. I’m loving this shoe trend for so many reasons but the two most important elements are fashion and function. Let’s be real, some of our favorite heels are not, shall we say, comfortable-at all. I have a pair of Jimmy Choo’s that are torture devices but do I get rid of them NO. Why? Really, you know the answer to that; they’re Jimmy Choo, they cost an arm and leg and they are beautiful, but not comfortable.

Anyway, enough about that…. I know I’m not the only one who has invested in a beautiful shoe that isn’t worth it. So back to why I love this trend (soon to be a staple), anytime the fashion industry gives us a product that is both fashionable and comfortable we don’t let it go. Take skinny jeans for instants, at the beginning of the spring all the fashion magazines and websites where telling us that skinny jeans where “OUT” (eye roll) and flares of all kinds where “IN”. Plus there’s been a big push for cropped fares and culottes (which I love) but I was just reading on Who What Wear about how skinniness are back “IN” because the consumer decided that they were NOT accepting the idea that a staple like skinny jeans where OUT. This will be the same for block heels. Look how we’ve all also embraced flats and sneakers.
